Manuscript Submission – Free of Charge

Types of Publications

The LASE Journal of Sport Science is dedicated to publishing manuscripts in English across a wide range of sport science disciplines. It offers two publication formats and is released biannually, in June and December. Authors should be aware that the timeline from manuscript submission to publication generally spans 5 to 8 weeks, influenced by review and editorial processes.

Original research papers are limited to 12 standard pages, including tables, figures, references, and an abstract. These papers must present scientifically valid experiments and contribute a substantial amount of new information. Furthermore, the articles must reference the most current and pertinent literature in the field. The required structure for original research includes the following sections: Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and, if desired, Conclusions.

Review papers, which are commissioned by the Editor, can extend to 10 standard pages of typescript, encompassing all necessary documentation. These reviews aim to provide a thorough analysis of existing literature within a specific area of study, highlighting current gaps or issues. They should maintain a critical and constructive tone while offering recommendations for future research directions. It is important to note that no new or unpublished data should be included in these reviews. The suggested structure for review papers may include an Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Relevant Sections, Discussion, Conclusions, and Future Directions.

Submission Process

Authors are required to submit original, unpublished manuscripts written in English through the designated website. Authors must adhere to ethical standards during manuscript preparation, including avoiding duplicate publication, ensuring accuracy in citations, refraining from fraudulent publication, and preventing both plagiarism and self-plagiarism.

The submitting author, who is generally the corresponding author, is responsible for the manuscript during the submission and peer review process. The submitting author must ensure that all eligible co-authors have been included in the author list and that they have all read and approved the submitted version. All co-authors can see the manuscript details in the submission system if they register and log in using the e-mail address provided during manuscript submission.

Each manuscript will undergo a double peer-review process, where it will be sent anonymously to two reviewers. The Editors will make a decision on acceptance or rejection based on the reviewers' feedback. The Editors' decision is final.

If an article receives a positive review, it will be published in the journal.

Accepted File Formats

The submission must be in Microsoft Word file format.

The total amount of data for all files must not exceed 50 MB.
